At least 12 people were killed and three injured in a head-on crash Wednesday between a church bus and pickup truck in southwest Texas, officials said. Sgt. Conrad Hein of the Texas Department of Public Safety confirmed the death toll to the Associated Press, adding that the collision happened around 12:30 p.m. local time on U.S. 83 outside Garner State Park, located about 75 miles west of San Antonio. –– ADVERTISEMENT –– Hein said he does not know if the lone occupant of the pickup truck is among the dead, or how many of the dead were among the 14 people aboard the church van. Residents of Marani area in Kisii county woke up to the shock of their lives when they found a body of a lady in the village lying motionless on the floor after being killed by her husband.  Report gathered that Dominic Okangi, 33, strangled his wife, Damaris Kerubo, whom he had been married to for 15 years. Okangi strangled Kerubo to death using a rope following a slight argument on the evening of Sunday, March 26.                          On Tuesday, March 28, the Nigerian Senate admitted that it had bought a bullet proof Range Rover Sports Utility Vehicle ( SUV ) as reported in the news. According to Vanguard, Senator Aliyu Sabi Abdullahi, the chairman of the Senate committee on media and publicity in an interview with journalists in Abuja revealed that the SUV was bought at a price different from that being reported by the media.
