Desmond Elliot is not in the office this time. It stars Iyabo Ojo who plays the role of a doctor and her daughter, Priscilla Ojo . A man who committed an offence in court, has been given a really humiliating punishment in the court premises.  File photo: A court An Ikole-Ekiti Customary Court in Ekiti State on Tuesday ordered a 47- year-old carpenter, Ojo Ajayi, to kneel down and face the wall for contempt, NAN reports. The President of the court, Mrs Yemisi Ojo, ordered that Ojo, a father of three, who rejected the judgment of the court in a matter between him and his wife, Yemisi, kneel for disrespecting the court. The judge had ordered that Ajayi, who was the defendant in the matter, be arrested for saying that he would not accept the court’s judgment that the children be in the custody of the complainant. The court also ordered the man to pay N10, 000 monthly for the upkeep of the children and in addition be responsible for the payment of their school fees. NAFDAC Donates Chairs To NYSC in Anambra State

The National Agency for Food and Drugs Administration Agency (NAFDAC),have donated 100 plastic chairs to the National Youths Service Corps (NYSC), Anambra State. The Chairs were handed over by Mrs Yetunde Oni, to the beneficiary in Akwa said the gesture was part of efforts to ameliorate the plight of corps members in the zone and deepen the partnership between the two agencies. Oni, who was represented by Dr Fori Tatama, South East Zonal Coordinator of NAFDAC said it had earlier donated another set of 100 chairs to the Enugu state command of the NYSC. She said that the NYSC was strategic to the achievement of NAFDAC’s objective of zero counterfeiting of drugs because of its reach across the country. Paris Club Refund: 2 Governors In Trouble Over Embezzlement

T he Economic and Financial Crimes Commission ( EFCC ) has fingered two governors in the misapplication of Paris Club Refund.  Already, a mortgage firm has returned to EFCC N500 million said to be part of the Paris Club refund kept with it by one of the governors. The EFCC is probing the London-Paris Club refund following allegations that some governors are misapplying the cash. The Federal Government agreed to the refund to enable the governors pay workers’ salaries and pensions. Besides, the EFCC has gone to a Federal High Court in Abuja to seek the forfeiture of $3million said to be held for another governor by three persons and two companies. The agency has placed a no debit order on the three accounts traced to the five suspects, including a member of the House of Representatives, who has gone underground to avoid arrest. Police to promote officers killed in Imo bank robbery

The Imo State Commissioner of Police, Mr. Chris Ezike, yesterday disclosed that the police would confer posthumous promotion on two officers killed during a bank robbery in Owerri, the state capital. The deceased police officers – Sergeant Chukwudi Iboko and Sergeant Sunday Agbo – were killed during a gun duel with armed robbers who attacked a branch of Zenith Bank located along Wedethral road in February. The video of the bank robbery, which was captured by Closed Circuit Television Camera (CCTV), has already gone viral on social media. The two deceased officers have been recommended for posthumous promotion while the injured officer has also been recommended for special promotion to his next rank,’’ he said. Robbers raid church in Ondo

A group of robbers have raided Living Faith Church (aka Winners Chapel) at Itanla on Ondo-Akure Road in Ondo town in Ondo State. They were said to have stolen cash and other valuables estimated at several thousands of naira. The hoodlums reportedly ransacked the church immediately they arrived at 2 a.m in a Toyota Prado Jeep. Residents said the suspected robbers shot severally into the air and locked up the security men in a room as they headed to the computer room of the nursery and primary school in the church. One of the security men said he and his colleagues saw the hoodlums as they suddenly drove into the church premises and started shooting into the air.
