Acid attack victim tells how strangers apologised to him on his doorstep before scarring him for life

An acid attack victim has recalled the horrifying moment two men apologised to him on his doorstep before hurling corrosive fluid in his face and scarring him for life. College lecturer Chris Bonney was attacked by two men at his home in Weymouth, Dorset, in February 2016.  The young father told how the men said, 'Are you Chris? We're ever so sorry,' before launching the attack which has left him with scars across his face and body, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder and anxiety.

Former Minister of Aviation, Chief Femi Fani-Kayode is now officially on trial at Federal High Court in Abuja starting Tuesday, April 25. The trial has begun with Mr Victor Ehiabhi, a police officer, narrating how he helped the Fani-Kayode to receive N26 million from the office of the former National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki in 2014. The police officer identified himself as an Intelligence Operative with the Force Intelligence Bureau. He told the court that he was deployed from the bureau’s Very Important Persons Protection (VIP) Unit, to serve as Fani-Kayode’s security aide before the 2015 presidential election. Fani-Kayode was in custody of the EFCC, but was later released pending further investigation Ehiabi said he was accompanied by Fani-Kayode’s domestic staff to receive the money from office of the NSA at the Presidential Villa, Abuja. Kong: Skull Island ,   the second entry in Warner Bros.’ “MonsterVerse,” which also includes 2014’s  Godzilla,  as well as the upcoming film  Godzilla: King of Monsters  (2019), and the inevitable  Godzilla vs. Kong  (2020), hit theaters just over a month ago.                Despite strong statements by the Trump administration regarding its intent to financially penalize states and localities that do not fully cooperate with federal immigration enforcement, there has been little in the way of new policy with regard to these so-called sanctuary jurisdictions. Still, state and local governments have engaged in a flurry of responses to the different tone and broader interior enforcement policy changes emerging from Washington. At least 33 states have introduced or enacted legislation requiring local law enforcement to cooperate with U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) requests to hold soon-to-be-released noncitizen inmates for deportation proceedings. At the other end of the spectrum, some states and cities have responded to mounting community opposition by disengaging from federal immigration efforts or showcasing welcoming policies toward immigrants.
