Nintendo and Microsoft are making the right moves to cut into Sony's lead in video games

Being the underdog counts for a lot in the video game industry. Both Nintendo and Microsoft are making smart moves against Sony's dominant position. Beware Sony, the competition is closing in. At E3, the annual video game trade show that's taking place in Los Angeles this week, the big three console makers — Microsoft, Nintendo and Sony — each touted their visions for the near-future of video games. After all three had wrapped up their press briefings, it was clear that while Sony may have a sales lead now with its PlayStation 4, its rivals are making smart moves that could help them cut into that lead. null  (Christian Petersen/Getty Images) Of course, the competition has a lot of ground to make up.  Sony has sold more than 60 million  PlayStation 4 consoles, which is more than double the number of Xbox One machines Microsoft has sold. Sony has also left Nintendo in the dust. Though it's off to a good start, Nintendo's new Switch console has only been av...

The challenge of fake news was also put on the communications front burner. This was stated at the 2017 World Communications Forum (WCF), held in Geneva, Switzerland, by an International Communicator, Speaker and Development Expert, Micheal Bociurkiw. According to him, reputation is key. His words: “CEOs of companies, who refuse to spend on social media/social media strategy/crisis communications, do so at their own peril. Monitoring is required 24/7. You or your company’s reputation is everything because it takes years to build a trusted brand but minutes/seconds to bring it down. Don’t allow a gap in communication...

2018 Mazda 3 – New Engine Technology Arrives

Image
As Mazda announced, they are preparing a new engine technology that will be introduced next year. This technology will reduce fuel use by 30%, and it will be available without spark plugs, according to the latest report. The new line of engines will be unveiled near the end of 2018 and the first vehicle to feature one is the next-gen  Mazda 3 , also known as the Axela in Japan. The technology is named homogenous charge compression ignition ( HCCI ), and it functions in a way that ignites the mixture of air and fuel under high pressure, and because of that, the combustion is far more efficient compared to the usage of the traditional spark plugs. This would be a huge leap forward in technology that has been already perfected to a high level. After we see the new...

iPhone 8 could have an all-glass front and back!

Image
According to a Taiwanese news site Digitimes, we found out that there is a possibility that the anticipated  iPhone 8  could be constructed entirely out of glass, meaning that its internals will be housed in an all-glass casing with a surrounding steel frame center. As we reported earlier, Apple was expecting its 10th anniversary of the iPhone, and it happened this Monday. The tech giant is always working on ways to make their flagship cell phone brand better and more appealing to customers, especially since Google is contesting them in every aspect possible, these include their voice assistant and  Pixel phone . Google is also, as subjectively as it sounds, surpassing iPhone in many of those segments as well. The latest rumor, since there is no official confirmation regarding this, about the  iPhone 8  is that Apple manufacturers Foxconn and Jabil are developing the body of the iPhone 8 with two reinforced glass panels (one front and one back), and that i...

2018 Volkswagen Tiguan – The Long Wheelbase Version Revealed

Image
The second-generation  Volkswagen Tiguan  will hit the US market in summer 2017. Luckily, we got a chance to see the long-wheelbase 2018 model, which was revealed just before the Detroit Auto Show. This model also goes by the name of  Tiguan Allspace . The new Tiguan was introduced for the first time at the  Frankfurt Auto Show  in 2015, and the reason why it hasn’t reached the US yet is because of the fact that the American version is stretched compared to the model sold in Europe. Both versions are based on the MQB platform, but the one which will be sold in the States is 185.2 inches long, and it lies on a 109.9-inch wheelbase. The American version is 10.7 inches longer, and it has 4.4-inch longer wheelbase, and the reason for these modifications is that the US Tiguan will have a third-row seat. There will be no changes under the hood, and the  2018 Volkswagen Tiguan  comes with a 2.0-liter TSI gas engine that produces 184 hp and 221 lb...
