The fans of the sport probably know that Goldberg made his return to WWE sometime near the Survivor Series pay-per-view event. In the past years he didn’t have kind words for the company, Vince McMahon and the wrestling industry for that matter, and thanks to this no one could have predicted that he would have made his return one day. To make things, even more, spicier, Goldberg’s son never saw daddy wrestle, and of course that became a priority for the wrestling box-office draw.
In the above mentioned Survivor Series pay-per-view, Goldberg managed to complete one of the toughest things in the history of wrestling which was to defeat Brock Lesnar in under two minutes. This came as a shocker to all, especially after Lesnar’s domination for several years and even having ended the Undertaker’s undefeated streak at WrestleMania. After his big win in Survivor Series Goldberg addressed WWE Universe, and by the initial reports he was there for just that win, and he should retire afterward, but he surprised everyone after he appeared on WWE Raw, and after that, it was obvious he signed to compete far beyond the Survivor Series. He also appeared at the Royal Rumble in the Rumble match.

It will be very interesting to see how Goldberg’s schedule will pan out until the Royal Rumble, but what is almost certain is that he will show up at least once on WWE Raw to promote the pay-per-view. If you didn’t know, McMahon is one of the best promoters of all-time and that will especially be visible if both of his big names are in the same match in January 2017. Although McMahon is pushing it, Stone Cold Steve Austin is still refusing to make a comeback like Goldberg, and on that matter, he stated “I’m 52, and I get these emails all the time asking why I don’t come back. They’ll say, so and so did it. Goldberg did it, and you know what, I’m happy for all my friends that are making comebacks. Bill (Goldberg) going in and beating Brock Lesnar was awesome, setting it up for WrestleMania 33 in Orlando, but I’m not making no comeback”
Since this announcement came as a shocker, fans all over the world naturally thought that Goldberg found a way to resolve the problem with Lesnar, after which Paul Heyman announced that Lesnar would attend the Rumble match as well. Since this is all so intricate, no one truly knows what will happen at the Royal Rumble. But some additional info was revealed by Ringside News that concern Goldberg: “Regarding how many dates Goldberg signed for, we have been informed that he has signed for thirteen appearances with the company heading into WrestleMania season. Those appearances include three matches as well – one being the Rumble Battle Royal and a rematch against Brock Lesnar that is rumored for WrestleMania 33“.
Well, that counts out any Texas Rattlesnake return to the ring, but frankly, this is about Goldberg, his appearance and impact on WWE program on the Road to WrestleMania. Will he conquer the WWE universe, will he get the title? Those are all the questions that will get answered next year. Good luck Goldberg!
