Expect another day of clouds and thunderstorms: NiMET

The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, June 21, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over the Northeast with chances of localised thunderstorm over Kano, Nguru, Maiduguri and Dutse in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 44℃ and 21 – 27℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over most parts of the region with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja and Bida in the morning. Later in the day, cloudy condition is expected with chances of localised thunderstorm over Lafia, Jos, Kaduna, Jalingo and Mambila plateau. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32℃ and 20 – 22℃ respectively except Jos with 26/17oC.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over the region with exception of Iseyin, Shaki, Abeokuta, Lagos, Ijebu-Ode & Calabar, where isolated thunderstorms and rains are not unlikely in the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are not unlikely over the southeast coast with cloudiness over the southwest coast in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 34℃ and 20 – 25℃ respectively.
